Bangladesh stormed into the Super 12s with a massive 84-run win over Papua New Guinea, becoming the first team from Group B to do so. Opting to bat first again, captain Mahmudullah powered the side to 181/7 with a 28-ball 50 before the bowlers ran roughshod over PNG, restricting them to 97 all out in 19.3 overs.
